"El Mal Querer" is the second studio album by Spanish singer Rosalía, released in November 2018. Seeking to bridge her love for the electronic and danceable ballads of James Blake and Robyn with the authentic heritage of flamenco, "El Mal Querer" took a different direction from her previous album and helped transform the 25-year-old Rosalía into a globally renowned act. With the help of dance producer El Guincho, her dramatic old-world songs were injected with Tropicália melodies, shimmering synths, and clap beats, and the single "Malamente" was a futuristic R&B ballad with castanet claps and velvety vocals.
