A six-episode series directed by Hans Herbots and produced by Panenka (Belgium), the plot brings together the greatest surrealist artists of the 1930s in a humorous, elegant, and suspenseful investigation. All accompanied by a magnificent original soundtrack written and performed by Justine Bourgeus aka Tsar B and Belgian composer Hannes De Maeyer (Patsers, Professor T, Rebel...).

The musical identity of This Is Not a Murder Mystery was born from a joint exploration with Hannes and Justine. Each brought their own universe and influences, and after delving back into the story with a fresh perspective, they found a subtle balance between drama, mystery, and comedy — exactly the tone the series needed. The result is mature, rich music that guides the narrative, with a touch of surrealism. An original soundtrack that not only supports the identity of this magnificent series but entirely shapes it. As a director, one can only be grateful for it. And truly proud: two musicians, one story, and an album created with soul and finesse.
