‘OXYMORE’ is Jean-Michel Jarre's 22nd studio album, and one of his most ambitious projects to date. A pioneer of musique concrète and electronic music, Pierre Henry bequeathed a series of sounds to Jean-Michel Jarre during his lifetime, with the mutual wish that a new work would one day be created. Oxymore, by integrating some of these sounds, is above all a tribute to the French school of thought of musique concrète, without which today's global electronic music would not exist as we know it. Conceived in multi-channel and 3D spatialized sound, the album also offers a stereo version, as well as a binaural version accessible with standard headphones. This is the first project of this scale to go so far in audio innovation.
